Healthcare Security System Installer/Technician
TotalKare of America, Inc., Syracuse, NY seeks a Healthcare Security System Installer/Technician of security systems designed for the healthcare industry. The candidate needs to preferably reside in the Long Island area. Travel is required with this position as we cover a large territory to include New York and New England. Qualifications:
Individuals with construction, electronics and computer knowledge are preferred. Job entails mounting safety and security systems in nursing homes, hospitals and assisted living facilities and knowing how to take direction from the lead technician to run wire, mount equipment, and make terminations. Candidates must have a commitment to excellence and be flexible, willing to travel during the week (overnight travel also required), be self-motivated, organized, have good communication skills, be able to take direction, work as a team player and be ready to perform any function deemed necessary for the accomplishment of the objectives of TotalKare.
Must possess:
• A valid NYS driver’s license
• Basic relay/contact/terminations and testing experience
• Wiring experience to include: basic electrical, low voltage, and CAT-5
• Computer hardware & software skills
• A working knowledge of various types of security/video systems
• The ability to interpret and apply blueprints, plans, CAD drawings, and specs
• The ability to program access control systems and program changes to monitored systems
• The ability to install healthcare security & access control systems and hardware
